​Quilt Raffles

​From our inception in 2007 through December 2013 we held an ongoing raffle, usually starting Mid-March and running through mid-December. Generally the Raffle Prize was a hand-made quilt, but there had been some exceptions to that; one year we offered a $1,000 cash prize, sometimes a hand-made afghan and pillow or gift baskets were created for a specific event. Raffle Chair Nancy Zamrzla was creative in finding sponsors to help offset expenses, utilizing an all-volunteer work force taking the raffle into art shows, craft fairs, Christmas boutiques, Pumpkin Festivals, Maple Festivals, and Ox Roasts. Her efforts resulted in the Quilt Raffle being the most productive activity yearly. In April of 2014 Nancy separated from Friends of WomenSafe. She continues her work with the Quilt Raffle, reporting directly to WomenSafe, Inc.
