The 2018 Spring Luncheon featured a Vintage Bridal Fashion Show presented by Ursuline College School of Fashion Design. Narrated by Dr. Connie Korosec, Professor and Chair, Fashion Design, Merchandising, and Curator the show consisted of 36 gowns: bridesmaids, mother-of-the-bride, mother-of-the-groom and bridal gowns dating from the early 1900's to present day. The Reserve House Caterer served a delicious meal of Chicken Wellington, Parsley Potatoes, Minted Mixed Vegetables and Wedge Salad. Dessert was a cupcake tower featuring a lovely variety of ornately decorated cupcakes from Annie Ellens Bakery. Guest favors were ornate covered china ring boxes. Table decorations consisted of fragrant hyacinth plants and "bride" cookies, donated by Lolly Bredbenner & Lynn Mitchell. Virginia Dickson provided lovely background music on her harp. Another aspect of the luncheon was a gift raffle that offered 30 items, gift baskets and certificates. Our generous sponsors included Sheoga Hardwood Flooring, Kohl's Store #237 in Mentor and Marous Brothers Construction. It was a lovely event that raised $3,517.20 all of which will go to support the important work of WomenSafe.

Bainbridge Township Hall
We had beautiful sunny spring weather for our third annual Purses & Pastries Sunday afternoon, April 22, 2018. The Bainbridge Town Hall was a festive sight as 78 guests swarmed over the pastries table offering hundreds of delicious desserts and the beverage bar featuring flavored waters, coffee and punch. Creative centerpieces of purses crafted from recycled neckties stuffed with toiletries, assembled by Chris Walkos, adorned the tables and brightly colored little cardboard purses filled with chocolates were guest favors hand-crafted and donated by Helen Wilson who also made the necktie purses. Nancy Gottron (event chair) conducted a variety of purse related games. Five designer purses (Coach, Dooney & Bourke and 3 Betsey Johnson) were raffled. There was a huge selection of new and/or gently used purses containing gift wrapped white elephants for the guests to choose from. The event netted $1,955.50, and judging by the smiles on everyone's faces, was a lot of fun!
